A Global TeleSummit on Peace
Self-Realization Fellowship’s Brother Anilananda, minister-in-charge of the SRF Temple in Hollywood founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1942, was one of the featured speakers during PeaceWeek 2011, which took place September 15–21. PeaceWeek brought together “peace-builders” from around the world — from Nigeria to India — for what was described as the largest global telesummit for building a culture of peace, culminating with the International Day of Peace on September 21. Some 52 speakers from the fields of religion, science, government, and the arts led sessions, ranging from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alice Walker (The Color Purple) to internationally renowned psychologist and author Daniel Goleman.
During his presentation, which focused on Cultivating Inner Peace, Brother Anilananda explored Paramahansa Yogananda’s groundbreaking teachings on the real meaning of peace, the definite techniques for developing lasting peace in today’s challenging world, and the impact that one’s inner peace has on the world at large. Brother Anilananda’s session took place on Monday, September 19, but is still available via the audio archive.
