By freeway from downtown Los Angeles:
Take the Santa Monica Freeway No. 10 west to where it joins the Pacific Coast Highway No. 1. Continue four miles north to Sunset Boulevard and turn right. The Lake Shrine is one-quarter mile east, on the right.
By surface streets from downtown Los Angeles and SRF Hollywood Temple:
Drive west on Sunset Boulevard to the Lake Shrine, which is located approximately 25 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 20 miles from the SRF Temple in Hollywood. The Lake Shrine is on the left, a quarter-mile before Sunset Boulevard ends at the Pacific Coast Highway No. 1.
By bus from downtown Los Angeles or Hollywood:
Because of frequent changes in bus lines and bus routes, we suggest you call the public transportation companies for the latest information on the route you plan to take.
By freeway from Mt. Washington (the Mother Center):
Return to the Pasadena Freeway No. 110 (see directions to the Mother Center). Drive south, toward downtown Los Angeles. At the downtown freeway interchange, bear left onto the Harbor Freeway No. 110. Take the Harbor Freeway south to the Santa Monica Freeway No. 10. Take the Santa Monica Freeway westbound, and proceed as in the directions from downtown Los Angeles.
