An informal talk by Brother Bhaktananda on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda
Brother Bhaktananda, a longtime direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, served as senior minister at the Self-Realization Fellowship temple in Hollywood, California, from 1971 to his passing in 2005. He gave annual classes on meditation in India Hall at the SRF Hollywood Ashram Center for many years. This CD, previously released with the Summer 2006 Self-Realization magazine, is a compilation of several of these classes, and includes a wide range of essential points that Brother Bhaktananda emphasized to all who sought his counsel on attaining a deeper communion with God through meditation.
God is the supreme prize of life, the highest goal of life. Once having Him, you have everything. So that is the reason for meditating, to make that contact with God. Then He helps us in every phase of life, in everything. Life becomes so smooth—day in and day out, things just run smoothly for you, because you are in that divine trend. And in that divine trend is all wisdom. — Brother Bhaktananda
