Convocation Screening of AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda
July 11, 2014
We are very happy to announce that we will be showing the new documentary feature film AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda at this year’s World Convocation held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.
The film will be shown on Tuesday, August 5 during two evening screenings in both the California Ballroom and the Pasadena Room. The first showing will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. in both rooms, and the second screening will be held from 8 – 10 p.m. in both rooms.
All those with full Convocation registration (either for the California Ballroom or the Pasadena Room) will have the opportunity to be seated in the California Ballroom for one of the two evening showings. All those who do not have full Convocation registration, and who are coming to view the film, will be seated in the Pasadena Room for one of the two showings.
Starting on Sunday August 3, tickets for the showings in both halls will be available at SRF ticket desks conveniently located at the Bonaventure Hotel. Participants with full Convocation registration as well as those who have purchased the full evening talks pass will be given complimentary tickets as part of their registration fee (you will need to show your Convocation ticket or pass to receive a movie ticket). Tickets priced at $20 each are available for all those who have not registered for the full Convocation program or evening talk series, or who are coming just for the film.
The already scheduled morning and early afternoon events on Tuesday, August 5 will take place as usual (morning meditation, morning satsanga, and afternoon Aum Technique of Meditation). However, in order to free up the time slots for the movie showings, we are cancelling the Tuesday evening class and group meditation.
We look forward to seeing you at Convocation, and look forward to experiencing with you this profoundly inspiring documentary on the life of Paramahansa Yogananda.
